Sea Ridge Distillery was formed late 2020 by ourselves Jonpaul Stanhope and James White. With 40 years’ experience in large Corporate businesses we decided the time was right to do something very different. We have bags of experience in our professional fields of Mechanical engineering and Marketing, however, it’s not our past that has dictated our next move. We have both been looking for something new and exciting, something challenging and creative and, in Sea Ridge Distillery, we believe we have found the perfect journey to explore.

As new Business partners, our shared ambition for creativity is driving our energy. We have a real passion to explore and create great tasting products that people want to enjoy and share with their friends and family. The past 18 months have been tough for many people and a period that has reminded us of the importance of socialising, catching up and creating new and shared experiences together.

In the past 5 years’ the spirit market has changed quite significantly with the UK consumer developing a real thirst for new flavours. This consumer change has created a very innovative market and we believe we can add more innovation and exciting flavours with Gin, Rum, Vodka as well as other spirits.

We are passionate about production quality; rigorous in sourcing amazing ingredients and fanatical about developing innovative production methods to produce high quality / great tasting products.

We feel there is an opportunity for us to carve out a strong UK Distillery brand known for exploring creativity, for high quality production and great tasting products across the UK. Positioning the consumer at the heart of everything we do is central to achieving this. We want to provide an exciting choice for our customers, choice in flavour profiles as well as innovation across many different spirits.

By sticking to these principles, we believe we are creating an authentic Spirit brand. We are not about cutting corners or taking the easy route, we believe in the journey and our customers deserve the best quality and choice at great value for money.

In April 2021, we were excited to launch our first products with x3 London Dry Gins. This was quickly followed in June 21 with the launch of our first flavoured Gins. In the first few months since first launching our Gin we have had some amazing feedback from our customers and suppliers. During this time, we have carefully selected over 20 local stockists to go into partnership with and help build the awareness of our brand.

In August 21 are moving our Distillery to Church Farm in Thurstaston on the Wirral. A wonderful local farm which not only provides us with the space to grow our Distillery but is also an inspirational space to operate from.

As we learn and find out more about what consumers want, we will work tirelessly to develop our own unique great tasting Alcohol which will provide the base canvas to add our amazing flavour profiles.

The journey of exploration has begun and we are extremely excited to see where it takes us.
